The 100-person Vision Quest

The 100 person Quest was all about the energy, but it's a little hard to write about, simply because words cannot describe the amount or intensity of energy.
The energy began to build long before the Quest, as it is building now for the upcoming one, and it is already palpable. It is my belief that this is because the giant wave of energy generated two and a half years ago is still flowing. I'm still being driven by it, and it's coming around again.
When we all arrived at the Primitive Camp back then, the intensity of energy was what struck me most. It was like a raging fire about to take off, but still contained within the match. The intensity was sharpened to an even finer point when each quester simply spoke their name with the intention of participation in the Quest. The power and focus that simple ceremony brought to each of us, and to the group, was astounding. It was one of the most poignant group moments of that Quest for me.
Out on the hill, on the first morning, it was obvious that it would be a much different experience. All my questions were answered before the sun topped the trees, and I remember thinking, "oh shit, where is it going to go from here?"
The energy built, doubling itself over and over, like the embryonic cells of a living organism, with only a short passage of the sun across the sky. It would not be impeded. It quickly became clear that all I could do was to ride wherever the wave took me, and us. It was tough enough just to hang on.
The energy seemed to flow cyclically across the landscape, at times making the work of the Quest almost effortless, as layers of stuff I thought were important were tossed aside, and the real root cause of the issue was penetrated and laid wide open for me to see. At other times the energy drove the need to choose to do my part to continue to generate and maintain it so that others could do the same.
The sheer number of us, and the amount of energy, kept me keenly aware of other questers, and he fact of this quest being for the People not about me. The air was thick with that sensation.
The energy just kept building, and flowing, taking me thru perceived limits, thru only imagined limits and beyond, with no sign of stopping. Coming out of the Quest, one of my line Protectors said, "You look like you just came down off the mountain", and it felt as though I had.
All through the camp the energy was visible on and in everyone. At one point even Malcolm, the venerable wordmaster, was speech-less. It was intense.
Leaving, it was obvious right away that I was vibrating at a much different rate than the rest of the world, but it didn't matter. The energy just steamrolled over everything and everybody.
Back at home, as family, friends, and co-workers were drawn to the Light they perceived around me, a shift occurred. At other times after other classes, that process has been like the brakes being put on, as those people attempt to rein me back into what was comfortable to them before. But after this Quest, being driven by the energy it generated, I became like a plowhorse. If they chose to hook onto the plow, they too were sucked into the energy, and together we began to break new ground in whatever direction we moved.
There has been transformation and healing taking place among people from all the circles I move in ever since, brought about by the tremendous energy that was generated. It is a Gift to witness those changes! And here comes the momentum of it again, ready to pick up more passengers, to reach out farther and deeper. It was, and still is, an amazing experience.
